Reduced Shipping Costs strategy by Foilme

Carriers raise their shipping rates every year. Demand in the eCommerce sector leaves a shortage of everything from truck drivers to warehouse space. You can reduce shipping costs through bundling, but including all the items in a single package. Rather than purchasing individual items, shoppers buy products together as a bundle. This means items are sent in bulk and in the same packaging will consequently lower both your shipping and fulfillment costs.

Kellie Bone, Administration and Customer Service at Foil Me talked to us about their brand mechanic of bundling products.

Foil Me are a family business based in the beautiful city of Adelaide in Australia. The business was founded in 2014 by husband and wife team Iliano and Emily Ciardiello. Foil Me strives to ensure hairdressers across the globe have access to aesthetically pleasing hair salon essentials that perform exceptionally. Customer Service is paramount in everything we do; from ordering to all of our communication channels, so that our Foil Me movers experience more…more appreciation, more innovation, more creation and more integration.

We do a lot of shipping from Australia to the USA through our Shopify site and the shipping costs can be very high. Before we started using MBC Bundles, our American orders were restricted to a minimum of ordering six of the same product per order. If someone wanted to order a mixture of different designs, we would manually have to create that order and send it to them, which creates extra work and time for our team.>

I had the thought one day: "Can we just create bundles?" And that's where we have found MBC Bundles! It has been so successful for our American Foil Me movers (that’s the name we call our customers). Now it is just so easy to send to them, and we don't need to spend a lot of time manually processing orders. It’s been amazing`.>
